PODLUGOVI, May 17 (FENA) - Chicken feet processing plant of the Axis doo company for export to the Asian market, was solemnly opened in Podlugovi near Ilijaš yesterday.
Creator of this idea is Ensar Perčo, 23 years old, who is the co-founder of the first plant for chicken feet processing with joint investment of the Mozaik Foundation and Australian partner Standard&Partners.
"Chicken feet are very popular in the countries of the Far East even though that is a little strange to us. That is where I saw an opportunity and got an idea what kind of business I want to launch. Instead of destroying and throwing away chicken parts like waste, we can process it and export it to countries where it is used," he said.
Perčo emphasized he explored the market for a long time and determined that southeastern part of Asia is the right market.
"I realized I do not have the capacity and I turned to Mozaik Foundation for assistance," he emphasized.
Ambassador of Switzerland to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer said at the opening the story sounds too good to be true, because it is a product which is considered waste in most parts of the world.
She added she is pleased that Government of Switzerland had an opportunity to support such project, as well as Mozaik Foundation, adding that idea itself is not enough for success, but also takes support of all those who can help.
"We should be open and experience new things, because new experiences are something that can help us overcome the past," emphasized Ambassador of Switzerland to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer.
Axis is one of social businesses that received investment from the Mozaik Foundation, whose investment fund for social businesses amounts to 700 000 KM, thanks to Swiss Government which joined the group of more than 50 financiers of the Mozaik strategy.
