FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 21 (FENA) - Adnan Smailbegović, President of the Employers Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mlađan Pandurević, and Director of the Association, held a meeting today with Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Head of the European Union Delegation and European Union Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and ambassadors of EU member states accredited in BiH.

They informed Ambassador Wigemark and the ambassadors of EU member states on the "20+ 5+6 initiative", i.e., the set of five urgent amendments to the laws and amendments and proposals of the new 20 pieces of legislation, as well as six initiatives sent to the Government and Parliament of FBiH by the Association with the goal of relieving the burden off the economy and improving the business climate in the country.

Wigemark and ambassadors of EU member states gave their full support to these reform initiatives that are crucial for faster and more efficient economic development of BiH.

The ambassadors emphasized that they expect from the representatives of the executive and legislative authorities in the Federation of BiH to give their maximum contribution to the implementation of reforms and to be guided in this process by general and common rather than partisan, solely political or personal interests, stated the FBiH Employers Association.
