SARAJEVO, May 22 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić met today with economic expert and former BiH ambassador to Belgium Draško Aćimović and talked about the launching of an initiative to set up the BiH Presidency Council for Economic Affairs and European Integration.
The goal of the Council would be the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina's economy and direct contacts with foreign investors interested in investing in BiH.
Renowned experts, that would take part in the Council on a "pro bono basis", would work on creating better conditions for foreign investors and new investments in BiH through their reputation, knowledge and contacts.
Aćimović stressed that two weeks ago, a meeting was held in RS with a large trading network, which has an annual turnover of EUR 3 billion, and which is interested in exporting food products from the entire BiH.
He thanked Komšić for the full support he was given to bring foreign investors to the Federation of BiH, suggesting that each member of the Presidency of BiH could delegate two economic experts for the formation of the Council.
The Council would have the role of coordinator with foreign and domestic investors, but also with the institutions in BiH for faster and more efficient jumpstarting of the economy in our country.
Komšić gave full support to this initiative, stressing that at the next session of the BiH Presidency, he would propose the establishment of the BiH Presidency Council on Economic Affairs and European Integration, stated the BiH Presidency.
