SARAJEVO, May 23 (FENA) - Head of the BiH Mission to the European Union Ambassador Emina Merdan handed credentials to President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels yesterday.
Ambassador Merdan thanked President Tusk for ongoing support to the European integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH stated.
She reminded of the Statement regarding the integration process of BiH to the EU, adopted by the BiH Presidency at the first session on 12th December 2018, and emphasized commitment of BiH to the EU integration process, improvement of neighbor relations and regional cooperation.
President Tusk strongly supported the European integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the European Union and called to further deciding steps towards the membership. He also pointed to importance of reconciliation and cooperation in the Western Balkans within the process of European integration of the region, PR Office of BiH MFA stated.
