SARAJEVO, June 3 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Effendi Kavazović today issued a message and congratulations on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan Eid also known as Eid Al-Fitr, and reminded everyone that the faithful spent this month of Ramadan by strengthening their faith with determination to persevere on the path of doing good.
"The peace that this chosen month has brought to us is felt in our souls, in our families, and in our communities. We want these positive feelings to be spread onto the days ahead of us, to be a light that will lead us through life," said Raisu-l-ulama Kavazović in his message.
He also referred to the fact that the Ferhadija Mosque in Banja Luka and the Aladža Mosque in Foča were full of the believers every night during the month of Ramadan; the faithful who were determined to preserve the light of faith in one God, and he added that this brings new hope and makes this generation of Muslims very proud as they have not allowed their spirit to be broken.
Raisu-l-ulama in his message to the believers asked them to certainly share the joy of Eid with their families, neighbors, and friends.
"The sadness gets diminished when it is evenly spread, and joy only grows. Be there for others and be with others. Take special care and share your joy with neighbors, non-Muslims, thus showing this unbreakable spirit of Bosnia that defies all evil, hatred, and divisions. Be certain that it is worth preserving, guarding and fighting for it," underlined Kavazović.
Kavazović reminded that the second day of Eid is also marked as the day of the dead and the martyrs.
"Let us not forget on that day those who are no longer with us, our martyrs, those who gave their lives for the values we just mentioned. We should visit their graves and strengthen our memory of their sacrifice and contribution to the preservation of our homeland," he said.
Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH Kavazović congratulated the Eid holidays to all the Muslims in Sandžak and Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, the Bosniak Diaspora and to all the Muslim faithful around the world.
