SARAJEVO, June 18 (FENA) - Embassy of Russia finds that Communiqué that was published after meeting of the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board political directors is biased and one-sided.
“We did not join Communiqué after meeting that was held on 17-18 June. Unfortunately, the document is biased and one-sided and it does not reflect on the real situation in the country, it does not cover current issues and essentially it does not contribute to strengthening of inter-ethnic reconciliation and constructive dialogue, searching for compromise for internal BiH issues.
We are convinced that priority task is completion of the long task of formation of BiH Council of Ministers based on general election results without any artificial conditions. This would enable continuation of social and economic reforms in the country towards improving quality of life of its peoples,” Russian Embassy in Sarajevo stated.
Embassy called all sides to focus on a common agenda, refrain from irresponsible rhetoric and move towards building of friendly relations and cooperation based on mutual respect in accordance with principles of General Framework Peace Agreement.
We believe that attacks on judicial bodies of BiH are unacceptable. These institutions should be secured conditions for independent, professional and efficient work so they can fulfill their commitments without any interference and pressure from the outside, including the international community,” stated Russian Embassy.
Attempts to bring back sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina under external management have no perspective and are blocking the stabilization process in the country, stated the Embassy, stressing that activities should be continued towards closure of the Office of High Representative to BiH.
