SARAJEVO, June 18 (FENA) - Member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović met with Special Representative of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for Prevention of Sexual Violence in Conflict, State Minister for Commonwealth and UN, and Special Envoy of Prime Minister for Freedom Religions and Faith Lord Ahmad od Wimbledon.
It was concluded that United Kingdom will continue nurturing good bilateral relations with BiH, no matter if UK is the EU member or not.
“UK has invested significant funds in education and development of technology in BiH, and good political, cultural and economic relations can be additionally enhanced,” Presidency of BiH stated.
It was stated that the British Government confirmed its support to BiH through British-German initiative for accelerate path of BiH to the EU.
They also talked about tomorrow’s conference “Inter-religious Contribution to Peace and Stability” and it was emphasized that BiH is a country open to inter-religious dialogue, which strives to the ideal that every man has equal rights and opportunities, regardless of their religion.
In this sense, it was underlined that multiethnic character of BiH is its advantage, like it is the case with United Kingdom, which is a home to people of different religions and ethnicities, and which can share positive experience of co-existence with BiH, Presidency of BiH stated.
