SARAJEVO, June 23 (FENA) - The remains of 31 victims of genocide in Srebrenica will be buried on July 11 this year at the collective funeral at the Memorial Center in Potočari.

The spokesperson of the Missing Persons Institute to BiH Emza Fazlić told FENA that this number is not final and that it could be greater considering that the Podrinje Identification Project contains remains of another 38 victims which have already been identified, but the families have not given consent for the funeral mostly because the skeletons are not complete.

The Podrinje Identification Project contains the remains of another 100 victims for which DNA results have arrived, but that have not been identified by the family.

Fazlić stresses that the oldest victim that will be buried this year in Potočari is Šaha (Arif) Cvrk who was born in 1913 while the youngest victim is Osman (Behaija) Cvrk who was born in 1979 and who was underage when he lost his life.

He was 16 and his remains were exhumed from the mass grave in Liplje in Zvornik.

The remains of 35 victims of genocide were buried last year in Potočari.

The Memorial Center in Potočari houses the remains of 6,610 victims of genocide.
