Pendeš heads BiH delegation at NATO ministerial meeting in Bruxelles

SARAJEVO, June 28 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš headed on Thursday the delegation of the ministry and the Armed Forces of BiH at the NATO Ministerial Meeting in “Resolute Support” format, held in Brussels, said the Ministry of Defense of BiH .

The participants of the meeting were the defense ministers of NATO member states and partner countries whose members participated in the peace support mission in Afghanistan.

Discussions on the political and military situation in Afghanistan have been held, as well as challenges that may be faced in the further execution of that mission.

At the margins of the meeting, Minister Pendeš met with Deputy Secretary-General of NATO Rosem Gottemoeller, Spain's Defense Minister Margarit Robles, Croatian Defense Minister Damir Krstičević, Defense Minister of Hungary Tibor Benko and Italian Defense Minister Elisabetta Trento.

During the visit to the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Minister Pendeš visited the BiH Mission to NATO, where she had a shorter reception and a meeting with NATO Ambassador Almir Džuvo. There was also a shorter working meeting with members of the Military section of the BiH Mission. Brigadier Čajic informed Minister Pendeš about the most important activities of the Military Section of the BiH Mission in NATO.
