SARAJEVO, July 2 (FENA) - The operational task force for the issue of migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina, chaired by the BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić, confirmed at today's meeting that the decision remains with regards to the establishment of a reception center in Vučjak near Bihać.
The position of the representatives of the EU Delegation to BiH that they will not finance the accommodation of migrants at this location the members of the task force rated as unfounded and argumentative, and even that there may be hidden intentions to keep migrants in BiH for as long as possible.
They particularly criticized the allegations that the site is unacceptable because it is close to the border with Croatia.
Also, the representative of the Una-Sana Canton, Police Commissioner Mujo Koričić, pointed out that the relocation of migrants from parks and private accommodation to Vučjak, has improved greatly the situation in Bihać, especially from the security aspect.
In order to further relieve the pressure off the canton, they will consider the possibility of accommodating migrants in the Duje Center in Doboj Istok.
The meeting also focused on the issues that the BiH delegation will discuss in a meeting with representatives of the European Union in mid-July in Brussels that primarily refer to the current migrant situation in BiH, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
