SARAJEVO, July 9 (FENA) - High Representative Valentin Inzko today in Sarajevo took part in honoring and send-off of the convoy with the remains of 33 victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, who will be buried in the Memorial Center in Potočari on July 11.

“Although there are victims that have been found and identified, there are less and less of them. I was present in Srebrenica when there were 700 and more to be buried. Each individual victim deserves our respect," Inzko told reporters.

He says that it was especially shocking today to learn that the youngest victim was only 16 years old when he was killed.

“I believe that every civilized society remembers the dead and this is very important. Otherwise, if we forget them, it would be as If we had killed them twice. It is an expression of civility and humanity of every society, to remember and not to forget our dead,” said Inzko.
