SIPA conducts operation 'Balkan Cartel' in the fight against money laundering

EAST SARAJEVO, July 9 (FENA) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) this morning launched an international operational codenamed "Balkan Cartel".

The operation is carried out according to the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the investigation is conducted against two private and one legal entities.

There are ongoing searches of residential buildings, auxiliary facilities and movable property at one location in the Mrkonjić Grad area because of the suspicion that the suspects in the case committed the criminal offense of money laundering.

More information on the results of the operation will be known after the conduct of the aforementioned activities, the SIPA stated.
