Ambassador Nelson joins the Peace March participants after visiting Potočari

SREBRENICA, July 10 (FENA) - The US Ambassador to BiH, Eric Nelson, visited today the Potočari Memorial Center, ahead of tomorrow’s burial of 33 victims of the Srebrenica genocide.

Honoring the victims of the genocide, Ambassador Nelson, who was wearing the flower of Srebrenica on his jacket lapel, joined the participants of the Peace March after the tour of the cemetery, in their final stage of the march, and he arrived in Potočari together with then in the evening.

Tomorrow, in the graveyard of the Potočari Memorial Center, a burial service will be held for the remains of 33 victims killed during the genocide in the Srebrenica area. There are still more than 1,000 Srebrenica victims killed in July 1995 that are registered as missing, meaning that their bodies have not been found.

Participants of the Peace March of 2019, some 6,500 of them departed on July 8 from Nezuk to Potočari to pay tribute to the victims of genocide.
