Inzko: Next year, BiH will have its law on denial of genocide

FENA Darinka Mitrović

SARAJEVO, July 11 (FENA) - High Representative Valentin Inzko today in Srebrenica said that he would advocate that Bosnia and Herzegovina, like many other countries, gets a law on the ban of denial of genocide.

“I will advocate for the law to be passed on the ban of negation of genocide in the BiH Parliament. Next year we will surely have such a law on the 25th anniversary of genocide,” Inzko said in a special program of N1 marking the 24th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

He added that the law on denial of genocide exists in Canada, Belgium and other countries, but there is no such a law in BiH where this actually had happened. He emphasized that this is a matter of civilization norm to recognize genocide.
