Zvizdić: Genocide needs to be accepted as a historical fact

FENA Muhamed Hadžibegić

SREBRENICA, July 11 (FENA) – Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić stated in Potočari today that genocide in Srebrenica needs to be accepted as a historical fact confirmed by international courts because admission of guilt, not collective but individual one, is a precondition for building trust and reconciliation within BiH and the entire region.

"More than 8000 innocent civilians were killed in a few days and while the entire civilized world marks genocide in Srebrenica simultaneously, here in BiH there is genocide denial and glorification of war criminals and those who planned one of the biggest crimes on European soil after World War II," emphasized Zvizdić.

After today's collective burial the total number of victims buried at the Memorial Center in Potočari will be 6.643, whereas around 1000 persons who went missing still have not been found.
