MOSTAR, July 15 (FENA) - The Independent Trade Union of Employees of Aluminij Mostar is asking all the owners of the company to examine the financial flows in Aluminij and properly sanction all those who were allegedly doing unlawful activities and who with their careless and incompetent work jeopardized the livelihoods of employees and their families.
The Aluminij trade union states that they informed the public in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina about the "murky business" that was taking place within the company and about the signing of bad, harmful contracts, which were administered by the company's management with their mentors who rewarded them with enormously high-income figures.
"They all came as rescuers to those positions where they misled the public and announced better days for Aluminij by resolving the key issue of electricity supply under economically acceptable conditions, including the revision of all bad contracts that would ultimately lead to the mismanagement of the incompetent staff, who called themselves high-level managers, including the insufficient care of the owners themselves, thus leaving the employees of Aluminij, 900 of them, basically on the street without any income.
We ask that the owners, together with the competent institutions, to start to process all the responsible persons who constituted the Aluminij management since the beginning of this situation," it said in a statement of the trade union.
