MOSTAR, July 15 (FENA) - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Aluminij Mostar, Zdenko Klepić said on Monday that the Government of FBiH has made a decision on the continuation of Aluminij's operations in the framework of the stabilization program adopted last Friday, which, in his words, means that in the next six months there will be no bankruptcy procedure and no one will be able to block the accounts of the plant.
Klepić said this after a meeting of the representatives of the Administration and the Aluminij Trade Union with HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović and FBiH Finance Minister Jelka Milićević at the headquarters of the Mostar-based company.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board added that some analyses that were carried out last weekend showed the possibility of restarting the production, and these analyses have shown that it is possible to start production in the foundry plant in the short term.
Klepić pointed out that these analyses showed that there was economic justification for starting the production in the mentioned facility, expressing hope that at least, some of the Aluminij employees will be returning to work.
The company's total debt amounts to about 400 million KM, and according to the latest data, Aluminij's electricity debt, as of June 30, 2019, amounts to 293 million KM.
