SARAJEVO, July 21 (FENA) - A collective burial for 86 Bosniak victims from Prijedor and Kotor Varoš, who were killed in 1992, was held at the Vedro Polje in Hambarinama yesterday.
It is about victims whose remains were mostly exhumed at Korićanske stijene.
Their mortal remains will be buried in several different graveyards, according to the wishes of their families. The largest number of victims, 68, will be buried in the Shaheed graveyard Kamičani, while the others will be buried in the Shaheed cemetery of Čarakovo, Hambarine, Bišćani, Skela, Rizvanovići and Dabovci in Kotor Varoš.
The youngest victims, whose dead remains were buried yesterday, were 19 years old when they were killed: Samir (Sadik) Garibović, Emir (Kemal) Đonlagić and Suad (Meho) Kljajić. Suad was buried together with his father Meho.
The oldest victim was Bećir (Adema) Bešić, born in 1931.
Zijad Bačić, who pointed out that his mother, two brothers and a sister were killed, was present on behalf of the victims' families.
They said they had co-existence in Prijedor, “but to confirm it, our fellow Prijedor citizens should tell us where the remains of our loved ones are.”
The burial was attended by members of the families of the killed victims, friends, neighbors, and among others the Member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović and RS Vice-President Ramiz Salkić.
