SREBRENICA, July 21 (FENA) - Young people of Srebrenica and Podrinje received yesterday the Futures Makerspace, a center where they will be able to realize their ideas for projects and startups to help work and develop the local community.
Futures Makerspace is located at the Srebrenica High School Center, and the initiator of the project is the BH Futures Foundation, a non-governmental organization that has the mission of transforming young talents of our country into future leaders and through the access to education and technology to break down the existing ethnic barriers from this foundation.
“As a Foundation, through our work we try to offer to young people in BiH all that their peers in other countries already have, so that we as a country develop and move forward. This center will be the place where young people from Srebrenica and Podrinje can learn and create fantastic things to help their community,” said Edhem Eddie Čustović, one of the founders of the Future Foundation in BiH, at the opening ceremony.
Futures Makerspace Center is equipped with computers, IT technologies, 3D printers, electronic development boards, drums and various other tools that young people will be able to use without any conditions.
The center will be digitally connected with partner organizations from all BiH cities.
Srebrenica will be visited by top experts, volunteers and students who will work with young people, local communities and businesses.
This is the first in a series of Makerspace Centers that the Foundation plans to open across BiH in the future.
