SARAJEVO, August 2 (FENA) – FBiH Employment Institute announced that 10,573 persons have been scrapped from the register, of whom 7,317 were newly employed in June this year. In the same month, 10.409 persons have registered with the unemployment services, of whom 5.503 have been registered upon the termination of their previous employment, announced the FBiH Employment Institute.
There were 532.779 employed persons in FBiH in May this year. The number of employees increased by 11.979, or 2,50 percent compared with the previous year’s average and compared to the previous month by 2.313, or 0,40 percent.
The employment services registered 308.443 persons in June which is 164 or 0,05 percent less compared to the last month. The percentage of female population in the total number of unemployed is 179.705, or 58,26 percent.
The largest number of unemployed was registered in the Tuzla Canton (74.448 or 24,14 percent), then in the Sarajevo Canton (58.425 or 19,94 percent) and in the Zenica-Doboj Canton (55.278 or 17,92 percent). There were 3.030 unemployed persons or 0,98 percent out of total number of unemployed in the Podrinje Canton.
