SARAJEVO, August 2 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to BiH, Ulrike Hartmann, in an inaugural visit at the headquarters of the Government of the FBiH in Sarajevo.
It was assessed on both sides that the political and economic relations between the two countries have been traditionally good and that there were no open issues. Austria is one of the most significant investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in economic exchange. According to the data, BiH's exports to Austria have been steadily increasing over the past three years, with export-import coverage reaching a record 155 percent.
An indispensable topic of discussion was the formation of government, both at the FBiH and state levels, and a common desire was expressed for these processes to be expedited and election results implemented as soon as possible.
A special chapter of the talks was Euro-Atlantic integration, to which the Austrian diplomat gave full support to BiH.
“European integrations are of vital importance for us, as BiH is traditionally, historically and culturally part of the European circle,” said the FBiH prime minister.
He stressed the importance of reform processes, emphasizing in particular the adoption of the Contributions Act, which he identified as a key document, the required reduction of workload, the launching of works on infrastructure projects, the fight against corruption and more.
Wishing her success in her new post in BiH, Prime Minister Novalić stressed her hope and desire for relations between the two friendly countries to go improve even further in the future, as was the case so far, the press office of the FBiH Government said.
