EAST SARAJEVO, August 5 (FENA) - President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, said today that the SNSD would block the work of all institutions if all the conditions from the principles of the agreement on the state-level government formation, which the leaders of leading political parties signed today in Sarajevo, are not met within 30 days.
Presidents of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović, the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) Dragan Čović and the Alliance Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik met in Sarajevo today with the Head of the EU Delegation Lars Gunnar Wigemark and reached an agreement on the establishment of a new convening of the BiH Council of Ministers and signed the Principles for the state-level government formation.
Dodik emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina accession into the European Union was never a question and that the state-level government formation principles state that the OHR will be abolished once BiH receives a candidate status.
“If the principles are not met then this means that BiH is in a deep crisis and that its sovereignty is in danger,” said Dodik.
He believes that all the conditions have been created for the BiH Presidency to forward a decision and for the appointment of the new Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
“The topic of contention was the SDA's request to submit the Annual National Program for the cooperation with NATO. We have agreed that the integration process will be carried out in accordance with the Constitution, respecting all levels of government and that cooperation with NATO would continue,” he said.
The signed Principles imply a framework for further cooperation on the continued NATO path, the unblocking of the work of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, and the formation of a new convening of the BiH Council of Ministers within the next 30 days.
