SARAJEVO, August 8 (FENA) - SDA President Bakir Izetbegović said in Sarajevo today that the agreement on the formation of government signed by the presidents of the SDA, HDZ BiH and SNSD provides that when it comes to NATO's path to BiH, everything will be done in accordance with the Constitution and laws.
“BiH is in the Membership Action Plan (MAP) and we said that plans would be submitted to Brussels. Now it is up to the others who need to come up with those plans. I think that compromises will have to be made, reduced plans will have to be made, acceptable to all parties as well as to NATO itself,” Izetbegović said.
Responding to a reporter's question about the interpretations of the opposition that Milorad Dodik and he both won and lost according to the agreement, Izetbegović emphasized that they “found a middle ground” and that it is not possible that they both won and lost but “the opposition has to say something”.
Bakir Izetbegović, at today's commemoration of Alija Izetbegović's birthday in Sarajevo, said that negotiations on the formation of a new FBiH government will be launched soon.
