OSCE - BPC: Activities in fighting corruption

GORAŽDE, August 15 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Bosansko Podrinje Canton (BPC) Goražde Aida Obuća met today with the head of the Foča Field Office of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Željko Vukmanović. During the meeting, the current situation in the area of ​​the Canton and the activities of the Cantonal Government in the fight against corruption were discussed.

The BPC Prime Minister informed the Head of the OSCE Field Office in Foča about the activities of the BPC Anti-Corruption Team so far, as well as the fact that the Government has adopted the Anti-Corruption Action Plan.

“In this way, the BPC's unreserved commitment to fighting corruption, both at the strategic and operational levels, was expressed. Considering that special attention is paid to the fight against corruption at an early stage of accession to the European Union and that all levels of government in BiH should show determination in undertaking concrete and sustainable activities to combat corruption, I want to emphasize that the BPC has been involved in these activities from the beginning,” Prime Minister of BPC Goražde pointed out.

The idea of ​​holding a thematic session of the BPC Government on Anti-Corruption was also supported, which would be attended by the Anti-Corruption Team and representatives of the OSCE, who strongly supported these activities.
