SARAJEVO, August 23 (FENA) - Organizers of the first BiH Pride Parade have received a permission from the SC Ministry of Interior. Therefore, there are legal obligations to hold this parade with dignity and peace. On the other hand, the SC Government will, in accordance with our responsibilities, provide everything necessary to comply with the given authorization,” said Prime Minister Edin Forto.
He stated that it is the responsibility of the SC Government to ensure that the scheduled "Pride Parade" takes place without any incident in the way it is happening in cities across the region, Europe and the world.
“As Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister, I will do everything for all citizens of this Canton to be treated equally, to have the right to gather and to be protected by the police,” said Forto.
“In the past days of the Sarajevo Film Festival, we have shown once again that Sarajevo is an open-hearted city, the capital of culture and tolerance, therefore we will do our best to keep this image,” stated the Sarajevo Canton Press Service.
