SARAJEVO, August 27 (FENA) - Chairman and members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik, today received Operational Commander of the European Union Force for the Operation ‘Althea’ and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Supreme Allied Command for Europe, Lieutenant General Olivier Rittimann.
At the start of the meeting, the BiH presidency members expressed gratitude for EUFOR's continued assistance in maintaining the peace and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the benefit of all its citizens.
The Althea Mission was rated as significant and successful in contributing to stability in BiH and the region.
Good cooperation of EUFOR forces with the civilian and military structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially with the BiH Ministry of Defense, was also highlighted.
In addition, participants of the meeting emphasized good international cooperation and successful participation of the BiH Armed Forces in international missions and joint exercises.
In this regard, they expressed an expectation that the volume of cooperation would increase in the future, stated the BiH Presidency.
