Čubrilović: If Dodik requests, a special session of RS Parliament will be held

FENA Press release

BANJA LUKA, August 27 (FENA) - President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS) Nedeljko Čubrilović said today that if a member of the BiH Presidency from RS requests a special session of the entity parliament, which he is entitled to under the Article 171 of the National Assembly's Rules of Procedure, that session will be scheduled with an agenda suggested by the proponent, in this case Dodik.

“If a member of the BiH Presidency proposes for the agenda issues related to amendments of the Constitution, according to the Constitution, the deputies decide on this by a two-thirds majority. Therefore, we will act in accordance with the Constitution, the law and the Rules of Procedure of the RS National Assembly at the request of a member of BiH Presidency. If such request arrives, we will schedule a parliamentary session within the legal deadline with the agenda proposed by the proponent,” said Čubrilović in a written statement delivered to the media.

He stressed that conditioning of convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the nomination of a candidate for a chairman with NATO membership, as stated in the statement, is a fictive condition that caused everyone in BiH great harm.
