SARAJEVO, August 28 (FENA) - The Sarajevo Canton Minister of Interior Admir Katica met today with Coordinator of the Association of BH Journalists Una Telegrafčić who presented him the project "Mapping Media Freedom and Reporting on Respect of Press Freedom".
Telegrafčić said that goals of the project, funded by the German Embassy in BiH, are to develop a methodology, research and situation analysis on violence against fundamental journalist rights, freedom of expression and media freedom.
“One of our goals is to develop a unique methodology in competent institutions in order to have accurate data on cases of verbal and physical attacks on journalists in the future, as well as on other forms of violation of journalists' rights. The association will form an inersectoral group, in which we would like to include the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” said Telegrafčić.
Minister Katica said that the project implemented by the BH Journalists Association has his support and that he will also assign representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to this group.
