Čović and Kačo discuss the political situation in BiH

SARAJEVO, August 29 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, received today Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to BiH Martin Kačo.

Čović briefed Ambassador Kačo on the current political situation in BiH, emphasizing that the decision to form the government was solely a joint agreement of the SNSD, SDA and HDZ BiH as democratically elected representatives of the constituent peoples of BiH, respecting the election result. He stressed that the representatives of the Croatian people in authorities are undoubtedly committed to the European Union and NATO.

Čović also thanked Slovakia for its support and involvement in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Euro-Atlantic integration process, especially during Slovakia's six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Ambassador Kačo emphasized that people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia have traditionally long and friendly relations, and said that he believes in the European future of the two countries, said the Office of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dragan Čović.
