ZENICA, September 3 (FENA) - The construction of Pavilion IX, an area of 2.686 square meters, for accommodation of 238 convicts, has begun at Zenica Correctional Institution.
A new pavilion is being built to relieve the existing unconditional accommodation, as well as to better control prisoners.
Construction of Pavilion IX is funded by European Union funds intended to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of rule of law and to ensure the efficiency, professionalism and independence of justice sector.
Total value of works is 2.152.000 euros and deadline for completion of works is 12 months. The contractor is Almy-Gradnja, while the supervision of construction process is entrusted to company Aksa from Zenica, stated the ZDC press office.
