SARAJEVO, September 4 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has postponed its consideration of the recommendations contained in the OSCE and USAID reports on corruption and organized crime.

Specifically, this item was removed from the agenda of the two-day session of the HJPC BiH, which began today in Sarajevo, and will be discussed at the next session of this regulatory body, until the competent commission analyzes the material, i.e. prepares /proposes certain conclusions and opinions regarding the aforementioned recommendations.

The Amendments to the Rulebook on Orientation Criteria for the Work of Judges and Experts in the Courts have been returned to the Permanent Commission on the Efficiency and Quality of Courts to be adjusted, after which they will be discussed at the HJPC session and then sent to the European Commission for evaluation, FENA has learned at the HJPC today.

On Thursday's part of the session, the HJPC should consider, among other things, a list of candidates for the position of judge in the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH, thus creating conditions for filling the vacancies in this high judicial institution.

As FENA learned earlier in the HJPC, determining the candidates list, which should be submitted to the FBiH Constitutional Court for its consideration, was preceded by the set procedure, including the launch of a public competition and the establishment of a Commission to interview candidates for the position of a judge of the FBiH Constitutional Court.

At the request of the FBiH Constitutional Court, the HJPC announced a public competition for three positions in the FBiH Constitutional Court on February 11, 2019, to which 29 eligible candidates applied, of whom two candidates withdrew from the selection procedure.
