SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) - Commissioner for the European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said that he is engaged with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to encourage political leadership to implement August 5 Agreement, noting that the formation of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina is essential to the European integration process, the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
“I expect leaders to take responsibility and continue the dialogue with a view to appointing the Council of Ministers without further delay, almost a year after the elections. This is necessary to move forward after the European Commission Opinion on BiH's application for the EU membership,” Hahn said.
He adds that there is no credible alternative to the EU perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the current setback undermines the legitimate expectations of Bosnia and Herzegovina's citizens for prosperous future in their country.
