Presentations for diaspora investors held in Banja Luka and Bihać

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 11 (FENA) - USAID Diaspora Invest Project, in collaboration with the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce and the Una-Sana Canton Chamber of Commerce, held presentations in Bihać and Banja Luka on access to grant support for companies started by members of the BiH diaspora or have other direct business relationships with diaspora.

It was pointed out that more than 60 companies have participated in the USAID Diaspora Invest technical support and grant programs so far, and those are companies where diaspora members hold at least 25 percent of ownership or have developed through direct business relationships with diaspora.

“Therefore, diaspora gave them access to international markets, they developed the offer together, found foreign investors etc. The condition is also that companies cannot be older than three years at the time of the announcement of this invitation,” USAID Diaspora Invest Project stated.

Also, it was stated that leadership of the two Chambers of Commerce by partnering in the info sessions confirmed their willingness to work to encourage diaspora to invest and connect with the worldwide expat network.
