'Orca' operation - 13 persons arrested, weapons and drugs confiscated

SARAJEVO, September 12 (FENA) - Thirteen people have been arrested in the "Orka" operation this morning while one person is serving a prison sentence in the Republic of Croatia, spokeswoman of the FBiH Police Administration Marina Zović confirmed.

It should be added that cross-sections are still carried out at certain locations.

Federation of BiH Police Administration Officers have started conducting the "Orca" operation in the Federation of BiH.

Officers conducted raids in Mostar, Jablanica, Čitluk, Konjic, Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. Members of organized crime groups were arrested in connection with the criminal offenses of robbery, aggravated theft, unauthorized production and trafficking in narcotic drugs.

“It is an organized criminal group of 14 members who have been acting uninterrupted for five years. They were arrested in connection with the attacks in the transport of money, attacks on shopping malls, gas station robberies and similar offences. In addition, they performed unauthorized production and marketing of narcotic drugs and grand theft auto,” Zović said.

He added that "so far, this group has gained material benefit of about one million KM.”
