JAHORINA, September 13 (FENA) - A two-day workshop on "Leadership Skills Development" completed today in Jahorina. The workshop was attended by 35 policewomen from law enforcement agencies in BiH.
This is the third workshop of this type, implemented within the project "Strengthening Capacities of Policewomen-Potential Leaders", conducted by “Policewomen's Network" Association with the support of the US Embassy.
Within the aforementioned project, from July to September this year, about 100 policewomen successfully completed this workshop, aimed at raising awareness of gender equality, developing leadership skills and empowering policewomen, which will help them in their further professional development in careers, given the fact that there are hardly any women in BiH police structures in managerial or decision-making positions.
As part of the project, the Association will implement roundtable on "Female Leaders in the Security Sector" in October, where security and defense officials who have achieved top positions will share their experiences with colleagues, focusing on challenges they encountered during their professional careers and ways of overcoming them, the Association stated.
