Newly-appointed BiH Ambassador to Croatia Aleksandar Vranješ visits FIPA

SARAJEVO, September 13 (FENA) - As part of preparations for a diplomatic mission, newly-appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia Aleksandar Vranješ visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) to learn about current economic cooperation activities between the two countries with a focus on investments from Croatia to BiH.

FIPA Director Gordan Milinić briefed Ambassador Vranješ on the amount of registered investments from Croatia, noting that between May 1994 and December 2018, Croatia, according to the Central Bank of BiH, invested two billion and 293 million KM in BiH, and that it is the second largest investor with a share of 16 percent in total investments registered so far, according to a statement from FIPA.

He also referred to the trend of growth of foreign investments in 2017 and 2018, pointing out that in the first quarter of this year, 231.2 million KM of foreign investments were registered, which reflects the same level from the previous year.

He added that after taking on diplomatic duty, the ambassador is expected to establish contacts with chambers of commerce and regional, business associations and sectoral associations in order to present BiH's potential, as well as establish contacts and attract new potential investors.

It was agreed that the Ambassador should try to organize a manifestation next year in order to promote BiH economy.
