SARAJEVO, September 18 (FENA) - Human rights activists and parliamentarians exposed to threats need protection around the world is the main idea of the German Parliament's (Bundestag) campaign program "Parliamentarians Protect Parliamentarians."
Bosnia-Herzegovina journalist Štefica Galić was included in this program in June this year and was supported by Manuel Sarrazin, MP in the German Parliament, who visited Sarajevo in September.
During his visit, Sarrazin said that a country like Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the war is still present after 25 years, where the atmosphere of fear, rather than the atmosphere of reconciliation, is still in the interest of many, it is important here to support those who are brave.
“Those who have courage to advocate for communion rather than division, those who are courageous enough to face and not glorify the brutal war crimes, who have the courage to risk their own lives in order to save others, and who have courage to be human in the best sense of the word,” he said.
There are many people in Bosnia and Herzegovina who have that kind of courage, and one of them is Štefica Galić, the German Embassy in BiH stated.
