SARAJEVO, September 18 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received credentials today from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to BiH, based in Budapest, Kumar Tuhin.
Komšić welcomed Tuhin and emphasized the fact that the two friendly countries have a common wealth of diversity: religious, ethnic and cultural.
BiH Presidency Chairman also emphasized that the Republic of India is a large country, not only in its geographical characteristics but also in its strong economic expansion, especially in the area of information technology.
In this regard, Komšić expressed his expectation that cooperation of the Republic of India and Bosnia and Herzegovina will develop in the future for the mutual benefit of the two countries. This applies in particular to the education of IT professionals from BiH through scholarships from the Government of India.
Ambassador of the Republic of India to Bosnia and Herzegovina Kumar Tuhin emphasized that Indian companies have interest in investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interlocutors agreed that opening of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Bosnia and Herzegovina would enhance the scope of cooperation in many areas: economy, science, culture and tourism.
The interlocutors assessed that visa facilitation would intensify cooperation between the two countries on political, economic and cultural level.
Komšić wished the Ambassador successful mandate as newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Presidency stated.
