MOSTAR, September 23 (FENA) - Mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić has departed for Brussels on Monday where he will present the project “Mostar - European Capital of Culture 2024”, together with eight members of the Mostar 2024 team.
Mostar, together with Banja Luka and Norwegian Bodø, has made it to the finals of the election for that prestigious title, and the delegations of the three cities will present their projects to the ECC headquarters in Brussels on Tuesday, before a ten-member ECOC panel, and then answer the questions from panel members.
“We have already achieved what I hoped for, a strong team working together to overcome many problems in this city. I hope Brussels will recognize that too,” Mayor Bešlić said before leaving for Brussels.
The final selection for the title of European Capital of Culture for 2024 will be announced at noon on Wednesday, stated the City of Mostar press office.
