SARAJEVO, September 26 (FENA) - The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to BiH, Sultan bin Ali Al-Khater, and the Director of the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Klepić, formally completed today the project Reconstruction of the Depot, which preserves rich and valuable archival material.
This refers to “Room 13” measuring 300 square meters in which archival material is stored as a unique and irreplaceable heritage.
Three months ago, during his visit to the premises of the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was to be renovated, the Ambassador recognized the importance of the institution and decided to help reconstruction with 128,512 KM.
“The Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not only the property of BiH, but of all humanity, and we will leave the history we keep a record of to our future generations,” the Ambassador said in a press statement.
He confirmed that he would continue to assist the Archives of BiH, if conditions exist, and that the project of reconstruction of the premises of that institution would be completed with the assistance of the State of Qatar.
Director Klepić thanked the Ambassador for the assistance provided by the State of Qatar to the Archives of BiH, and said that about 85 percent of the space had been reconstructed, with another large room remaining “Room 14”.
“When we finish ‘Room 14’ we will have arranged archive depots of BiH in a modern manner and thus we would finish our goal, reconstruction of the premises of the Archives of BiH,” said Klepić and thanked everyone who participated in the project.
