Hague Tribunal's certified bilingual judgments arrive at ICTY Information Center

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - Part of the official archive of the former International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has arrived from The Hague to Sarajevo, to the ICTY Information Center, which is located in the City Hall.

The ICTY Sarajevo Information Center has received the delivery of all certified bilingual judgments handed down by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) for 24 years, as well as a significant portion of the Tribunal's librarian fund, which include, among other things, valuable titles; books, professional publications, proceedings, annals, as well as a complete outreach collection of written and video material produced by the Tribunal.

This reaffirmed excellent cooperation that the City of Sarajevo, within which the ICTY Sarajevo Information Center operates, is establishing with the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, which is the legal successor to The Hague Tribunal, as well as the City Administration's commitment to develop and strengthen the Centre's mandate.

The content of the Center is also enriched by the permanent exhibition of The Hague tribunal's authentic courtroom, which makes Sarajevo the first city after Nuremberg to have the original courtroom of an international court that tried war crimes indictees, the City of Sarajevo stated.
