FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, October 1 (FENA) – The meeting of the Task Force Combating Human Trafficking and Illegal Immigration, which brings together representatives of judicial institutions and law enforcement agencies from the state level, both Entities and Brčko District of BiH, was held in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was chaired by the Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić.

The activities of these institutions were discussed, and it was concluded that all members and institutions of the Task Force, within their competencies, should continue activities, so that a constant increase in the number of criminal offenses in the area of illegal migration would not adversely affect the security situation in the BiH.

Tadić informed the meeting participants that an increasing number of reported crimes were related to illegal migration, and discussed new ways of committing crimes, as well as difficulties in proving and prosecuting in all prosecutor's offices in BiH, the BiH Prosecutor's Office stated.
