SARAJEVO, October 3 (FENA) – Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović, received today on his visit the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to BiH, Mahmoud Heidari, who congratulated Izetbegović on his re-election as President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), with the belief that he would continue the fight to protect the identity of the people and the integrity of BiH.
The interlocutors stated that the relations between the two countries are an example of good friendly relations and cooperation, and stated their mutual intention to continue to strengthen the existing relations through parliamentary cooperation.
They also discussed the current political situation in both countries, with Ambassador Heidari expressing hope that the state-level government would be constituted as soon as possible.
Izetbegović reiterated the view that the formation of the government in BiH could be completed very quickly if all stakeholders respected the Constitution and the rule of law, stated the office of the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
