SARAJEVO, October 6 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović expects that a decision could be reached this month regarding the formation of the state-level government in Bosnia and Herzegovina because he said that they are "gradually bringing closer their opposing attitudes" .

He did not want to talk about any further details.

"We know the reasons why we could not agree with the government being formed in a way to give up the NATO path, the rule of law, that the state is superior to the entities. However, I think the positions are getting closer. I will not talk about the details, but I think a solution could be reached as early as October," Izetbegović said at the request of journalists in Sarajevo to comment on this matter before the SDA Main Board session.

"Friends from the international community and NATO are helping us so I think there could be solutions as early as October if there is a readiness to compromise," he added.

In light of the possible relaxation of the current domestic situation, Izetbegović also mentioned the forthcoming trilateral meeting in Belgrade between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and Serbia.

A senior official of the Party of Democratic Action and a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, also responding to questions from the press, identified Milorad Dodik as the main cause of the current political crisis in BiH, more specifically, Dodik's rejection and obstruction of the NATO path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ahead of the trilateral meeting in Belgrade, Džaferović said he expects Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to finally distance himself and the Serbian state from the scandalous statements of Milorad Dodik because it is not enough for Vućić to keep emphasizing the need to resolve disagreements through dialogue and the need to respect the Dayton Agreement.

The participants of the forthcoming meeting in Belgrade will discuss trilateral issues, but also bilateral relations between neighbors, in this case, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as well as economic and infrastructure projects such as the construction of the Sarajevo - Belgrade expressway.

Džaferović noted that in the absence of a convergence of views, there are international rules that must be respected, such as the Constitution and laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina that must be respected when it comes to internal circumstances.
