MOSTAR, October 6 (FENA) - Dragan Vrankić, a Bosnian politician and prominent member of the Croat Democratic Union, died on Sunday at the age of 64 after a long and serious illness.
Dragan Vrankić was born in 1955 in Trebižat near Čapljina.
In two terms, he was elected to the Parliament of the Federation of BiH. From 2003 to 2006 he served as Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, and from 2007 to 2010, as Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH.
From 2010 to 2014, he was an MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, on 28 October 2015, and the House of Peoples on 10 November 2015, appointed him as the Chief State Auditor of the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was the last duty he performed before he died.
