SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Željko Komšić has strongly condemned the attack that took place outside a synagogue in the German city of Halle, where two people were killed.
"I strongly condemn this extreme and brutal act, which occurred during the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. I hope that all perpetrators and organizers of this act will soon be apprehended and severely punished.
Unfortunately, extreme ideologies are never dormant, and we are facing more and more radical acts lately.
We are witnessing evermore hostile attitudes of individuals in the form of religious, national, social or racial discrimination.
More than ever, we must be determined in the fight anti-Semitism in Europe and the world, to combat racism, fascism and all forms of extreme ideologies that threaten civilizational values.
I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims, and I wish the injured a successful and speedy recovery on behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and myself," the BiH Presidency said in a statement.
