BiH PA delegation takes part in Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Belgrade

SARAJEVO, October 14 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Nebojša Radmanović and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Nikola Špirić lead a delegation of the BiH PA at the session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, which takes place in Belgrade.

The Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, which gathered about 2,000 parliamentarians from 150 countries, was welcomed by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojković and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Mexican Senator Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres greeted the Parliamentarians via video link.

The central topic of the debate at this year's Assembly is dedicated to parliamentary roles and mechanisms in strengthening international law and regional cooperation. As part of this discussion, MPs from around the world will be addressed by the BiH PA Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Nebojša Radmanović.

During the session of the largest and oldest global parliamentary organization, the BiH PA delegation will also have numerous bilateral meetings with presidents and delegations of parliaments of the member states of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, PR Office of the BiH PA stated.
