Security Minister Mektić attends INTERPOL General Assembly in Chile

SARAJEVO, October 15 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić heads the state delegation at this year's INTERPOL General Assembly in Chile, the ministry said.

Ministers, police chiefs and security experts will discuss a number of global security issues during the four-day session.

A key topic of this year's gathering is the activities undertaken by states, as well as joint actions at the regional level in the fight against terrorism, organized and high-tech crime.

The General Assembly is the supreme governing body of INTERPOL and is composed of delegates appointed by the governments of the Member States.

It meets once a year and makes all major decisions that affect the general policy, resources needed for international cooperation, the working methods, finances and program activities of INTERPOL.
