SARAJEVO, October 16 (FENA) - BiH Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak received yesterday in a separate inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH, Johanna Strömquist, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to BiH Kim Dong-chan and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to BiH by Muhammad Khalid Rao.
During the meeting with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH Johann Strömquist, Sweden's strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to European integration was emphasized. Minister Crnadak pointed out that the consequences of a deadlock in the process of state-level government formation and dysfunction of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly directly affect people's daily lives. The interlocutors agreed that BiH must do more on its European path when it comes to reform processes, the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
In a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, BiH Foreign Minister emphasized that political relations between the two countries are good, emphasizing that there is room for enhancing economic cooperation. Minister Crnadak and Ambassador Dong-chan agreed that it is necessary to sign the Economic Cooperation Agreement as soon as possible and to form a Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation between the two countries. It is noted that an increasing number of Korean tourists are coming to BiH, mostly to visit Medjugorje. Minister Crnadak said that Korean tourists might also be interested in other cities in BiH, as well as winter tourist centers.
Minister Crnadak and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Khalid Rao assessed that relations between Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina were good and without open issues, as well as cooperation in the international field. The possibility of enhancing cooperation has been expressed, especially when it comes to economic relations and increased trade. Regional cooperation and the situation in Kashmir were also discussed. Ambassador of Pakistan expressed his support for reform processes and European integration in BiH.
Minister Crnadak welcomed the newly appointed Ambassadors Strömquist, Dong-chan and Khalid Rao to BiH, and wished them a successful diplomatic mission, PR Office of the BiH MoFA stated.
