BANJA LUKA, October 17 (FENA) - The caucus of the deputies of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) will request that a special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RSNA) be held between November 1 and 5, regarding the current situation and status of the entity of RS in Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the party president, Milorad Dodik, today.

He claims that he was asked by the caucus of SNSD MPs in the National Assembly to prepare a material for the session, which would also be a response to the earlier declaration of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).

He said he would propose his address before the entity parliament with a topic regarding the current situation and the status of the entity of RS in BiH.

“I am working on this with my associates, and we still have to fulfill the parliamentary procedures. We will deliver all the material to the National Assembly early next week,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, saying it was necessary to preserve the interests of RS and its position within BiH, and within the Dayton Agreement.

Commenting on the statements of SDS and PDP representatives that they would not sit aside and that they would also discuss the formation of government at the BiH level, he said that it was contradictory and that “they are working in the BiH institutions against the interests of RS, and the action plan regarding the opinion of the European Commission, which was adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH, without the opinion of the RS Government, is the proof of that”.

"They have brought down the coordination mechanism and are degrading the constitutional order of the RS," Dodik said.

He claims that another proof of such action is the reduced text of the Annual National Program (ANP), which, he says, the RS will never sign.

"There will be no talks to adopt a document that would be treated as an Annual National Program, no matter what Borenović and Šarović call it," Dodik said.

He also said that he would hold a meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Dimitri Medvedev in Belgrade on Saturday and that one of the topics would be the position of the entity of RS in BiH, but also the position that the RS does not want to be conditioned with NATO membership.
